The Group are delighted to have won this prestigious award for their first ever submission to this competition with a report, ARCHAEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF THE PRIORY SITE AT HINCKLEY.

Excavations in two gardens in Stoke Golding village centre have both been productive. A wall of a previous building has been revealed in the first garden whilst the other garden has produced some large sherds of pottery and possibly some Anglo Saxon.

The Group have also completed 4 weeks of excavation with Birmingham University on a Bronze Age Burial Mound at Wolvey.
